Lavender essential oil

"Women of ancient Africa had access to many natural botanical ingredients that are widely used today in skin care products. They knew the secrets of those ingredients. Egyptians more than any other culture, devoted themselves to beauty and its preservation; so much so, that they buried their natural skin care remedies and tools with the dead. They used natural oils such as sweet almond, baobab, marula and moringa. They also used botanical ingredients such as aloe, frankincense, myrrh, rose oil, honey etc. Being endowed with natural emollients like cocoa butter and avocado oil, they used these ingredients extensively in their beauty regiments".

Therefore, since these ingredients are ancient (and they worked), why shoudn't we use them? The Gourmet Soap Chef custom designs soap, that "only" uses ancient essential oils and fragrances. Our lavender soap bars are highly sought after because lavender has healing health properties that soothe the skin.

The health benefits of lavender oil for the skin can be attributed to its antiseptic and antifungal properties. It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. It heals wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns rapidly as it aids in the formation of scar tissues. Lavender oil is added to chamomile to treat eczema.

Other health benefits of lavender essential oil include its ability to treat leucorrhoea. It is also effective against insect bites. The oil is also used to repel mosquitoes and moths. You will find many mosquito repellents containing lavender oil as one of the ingredients.

So why are you using commercial soap? Why not treat your body and skin to the properties of lavender...Enjoy the decadence...your skin will thank you !!
